Silver Linings

2020-2022

700+ paintings, 3 x 4 inches, oil on vintage aluminum

This video clip shows a third of the paintings, hung in my garage studio. I shuffle them around until they find the best location. When they are in the right spot, they bring out the best in one another. I curate groups into “visual poems.” Grids of nine were displayed at Concord Art, April 2021.

Poetry: Wear do We Go?

I began the Silver Linings Project by painting shoes. After I had done about 30 pairs, I emailed images of them to my community of friends and colleagues, with an invitation to write a poem in response.
